The Experiment@ International Conference 2023 (expat’23) is the 6th face to face event of the conference series expat’xx.

expat’23, a joint organisation of University of Porto and University of Coimbra with the collaboration of University of Évora, will be held at Évora, Portugal, from June 5 to 7, 2023, and the post-conference technical day on June 8, 2023. The conference will feature the technical support of IEEE (IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE Education Society) and the Portuguese Engineers Association.

expat’23 continues the biennial event series dedicated to online experimentation, with its relevance reinforced by Industry 4.0/5.0, and contributing to extend the world capabilities in this particular area and to develop collaborative work in immersive technologies, bringing together engineers, researchers and professionals from different areas.

expat’23 will run for three days a post-conference technical day, providing a forum of discussion and collaboration between academics, researchers and industry and medicine professionals, trying to bridge the gap between academic applications and the real world needs and experiences. It offers to the participants an opportunity to present their recent work and to take part in technical sessions, workshops, exhibition sessions, discussion tables and thematic visits in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Évora, European Capital of Culture in 2027.
