exp.at’ 17 conference will take place on the Gambelas campus of the University of Algarve, Faro, a young state university located in the south-eastern part of Portugal.
The University has four campi but exp.at’17 will take place at Gambelas campus (GPS Coordinates: 37°02’34.9″N 7°58’15.6″W; Google Map Location), at “Green” Amphitheatre (basement, building #8).
The university campus is located at a distance of about 7 km from the centre of Faro (12 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus).
Information on special buses from Faro to the meeting venue (Gambelas Campus) will be available soon.
The city centre can be reached in about 10 minutes by taxi from the Faro International Airport.

You can travel to Faro by plane or by train or bus.
Faro International Airport is served by several major airlines. There are daily direct flights from Lisbon and from several European cities.
The distance between Faro International Airport and the city of Faro is about 6 km. The city can be accessed by taxi or by bus. Faro bus and railway stations are located 2-5 minutes walk from the city centre.
Faro has a wide choice of accommodation suitable for every budget, from 4-star hotels to hostels.
