(1) Each paper/demo requires at least the registration of one of the authors to be included in the conference program and in the conference proceedings.
(2) Authors MUST register until June 1, 2025.
(3) Author registration includes the presentation of one paper/demo. One additional paper/demo implies an extra cost of 160 EUR.
(4) The student registration fees are applicable to BSc/MSc/PhD students. Proof of student status will be required.
(5) Accompanying Person Fee includes the Welcome reception, lunches and coffee and refreshment breaks during conference program (September 3-5).

Special Conference Registration Fee #1 includes:

– All items included in the Basic Conference Registration Fee;
– Conference Dinner (September 4).

Additional Conference Fee #2: Technical visits in Faial Island, with lunch (September 2)

Additional Conference Fee #3: Technical visits and tour in Pico Island with lunch (September 6)

Registration Terms and Conditions

· All Registration must be completed on the official website.
· Participants are strongly encouraged to register before the early bird to take advantage of the discounted registration fees.
· All registration fees are quoted in Euro (€)
· Payment in any other currency will not be accepted.

Payment will be available by credit card and bank transfer:
· Credit cards: are accepted and can be made through online services on a secured server. Service tax for payment by credit card will be charged, and it should be paid by the participants in addition to the fees. For security reasons, under no circumstances should credit card details be sent by email.
· Bank transfer: The participants must pay bank charges in addition to the registration fees.
Please make sure to indicate the Conference name (expat25) plus the full participant’s name.

Invoices with an address in the European Union should be provided with a VAT Number.
The invoicing address and VAT number can only be set up during the registration process. Enter the desired billing address – you can either use your main
contact information or use an alternative address (e.g., if your institution is funding your registration).

Proof of enrollment for students

For registration in student categories, the interested party must submit a supporting document that proves his/her current student status (proof of enrollment or
declaration of the educational institution). The document must be added to your online registration form after you select the student fee category.

Once your registration process is completed, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirming that your registration process was successfully completed.

Cancellation Conditions and Refunds

Any cancellation must be notified in writing to the conference secretariat.

• In case of cancellation, a written notification should be sent to lurdes.catalino@abreu.pt
• If it is received prior to June 20th, 2025, registration fees will be refunded with a deduction of €75 and €15 for administrative fees.
• No refund can be made after June 21th, 2025.
The already paid registration can be transferred (without additional charges) to another participant from the same university, research institute or company.

Liability Waiver

However, as an attendee, you must fully understand and knowingly, voluntarily, and irrevocably assume all risks related to entry into, and presence in, at,
and around the event venue(s), which may include an increased risk of exposure to communicable diseases. As an attendee, you accept personal responsibility
for your voluntary participation in the event, and assume all responsibility for claims and potential claims relating to any risks and hazards of attendance.
